On 12th August， Jiangnan Shipyard held two 21000 m3 ethylene carriers naming ceremony. It is the first two carriers of four 21000 m3 LEG carriers built for Petredec Company. The two carriers were named as "EMPERY" and "ELLINGTON".
21000 m3 ethylene carriers are mature carrier type which is researched、 developed and built independently, belonging to “Lusitano” series of liquefied gas vessels in Jiangnan shipyard. This carriers have been formed mass production. Four single type C tank on board, its design temperature is as low as -104 degree, can carry ethylene, ethane, propylene, propane, anhydrous ammonia and other goods.
"EMPERY" as the first ship of that series, set the record of 69 days from launching to trail sail. It is reported that the carriers will be delivered in late August.
